Who We Are
Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church is a small, rural congregation of the ELCA
(Evangelical Lutheran Church in America).
Our worship service, held Sundays from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, blends traditional liturgy with contemporary elements. We are a Reconciled in Christ congregation, and we believe that everyone is truly welcome here. We're not here to judge — we're here to share the good news of God's love and grace with you.
We love children and are delighted to welcome them in worship.
Our sanctuary includes a special area designed just for young children, complete with quiet toys and soft, cozy snugglers. It’s the perfect space for families who wish to keep their little ones close during the service. To us, the sounds of children in church are a joyful part of our worship — truly music to our ears!

We celebrate Holy Communion every Sunday, and all are warmly welcome to receive the sacraments, regardless of background or church affiliation.
At Mt. Pleasant, we believe the communion table belongs to Christ — and Christ welcomes everyone. Following the service, we often gather for a time of fellowship, conversation, and light refreshments. It’s a chance to connect, share stories, and build meaningful relationships within our church family.

Rooted in God’s grace and the Lutheran tradition, we are called to act with justice, love tenderly, serve one another, and walk humbly with God as we follow Jesus Christ.
The first time I walked into Mt. Pleasant I knew I was home! That was 20 years ago and Mt. Pleasant is still a very welcoming and friendly church.
Very inclusive and friendly church, welcoming everyone regardless of circumstances. They are community-oriented.
What a loving church! They do not judge like a lot of churches do.
Our Pastor as well as the people that attend are very welcoming and friendly. Our Pastor’s messages are easy to follow along to and relate to. We are a small country church. We enjoy our music and would love to see you some Sunday morning. Come check us out.
